Partner Spotlight

The Women’s Resource has been offering YourLife Finance Classes in partnership with Houston Area Women’s Center since 2009. The Women’s Resource and Houston Area Women’s Center are both committed to empowering women financially as they rebuild their lives. Clients who attend the classes obtain new financial knowledge and strategies at the same time they are meeting with HAWC program staff to plan the next step of their journey.
This year the two organizations have launched the Establishing Economic Independence for Survivors Project in which clients now have the opportunity to take part in YourLife Possibility Groups and YourLife Coaching. The purpose of this project is to help women understand their finances and gain confidence as they work toward achieving their financial goals. Survivors will have access to these services while they continue to receive support from Houston Area Women’s Center in the form of counseling, safety planning and legal assistance.
