Event Honoree
BETH WOLFF
Founder & Chair
Beth Wolff Realtors
For more than four decades, Beth Wolff has been a fixture on the Houston real estate landscape and has built a very successful company. Her focus on family, community, and philanthropy is a legacy in the making, and one that continues to build momentum. As Founder and Chair of Beth Wolff Realtors, she has established herself not only as a leader within real estate, but throughout the city. That is the reason why five different Houston mayors have appointed her to serve the city, including a recent appointment to the Planning Commission.
In 1974, Beth became the sole supporter of her two young children, Cynthia and Ed. She chose real estate as a career for its time flexibility, income potential, and leverage of her long-standing knowledge of the city. Her roots run deep in Houston, with Beth’s paternal great-grandparents arriving in the late 1800s. As a graduate of the University of Texas College of Business Administration, Beth’s drive to support her family and determination propelled her career forward.
Beth has been involved with many firsts for the city, including the first house built by Houston Habitat for Humanity, the convention center hotel, and Quality of Life Coalition. She co-chaired the Steering Committee for Opportunity Houston, a $32 million economic development project, and chaired Keep Houston Beautiful. She has served as President of the Houston Symphony League and on the boards of the Greater Houston Partnership, the Houston Ballet, Baylor Partnership, and the Greater Houston YMCA.
She is honored to be in the Junior Achievement Hall of Achievement, Texas Women’s Hall of Fame, and has been recognized as a Houston Business Legend. Beth was recognized as a 2014 Woman of Distinction, a Woman of Substance, a Texas Children’s Hospital Community Champion, a Citizens for Animal Protection Honoree, and received the Sue Trammel Whitfield Resiliency Award. She has also received the Houston Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business Lifetime Achievement Award and the Lifetime Achievement in April 2023 from Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate. Beth welcomes the opportunity to be a change-maker in the city she loves. As she says, “It is an honor and a privilege to be able to give back to the community that has been so important to me and my company.” Beth has most recently been recognized as an Icon by the Houston Symphony League. She is honored to have been selected as one of the Top 25 Business/Civic Leadership Forum Alumni by the Center for Houston’s Future.
Beth’s greatest treasure is her family. Her son, Ed, is President of Beth Wolff Realtors, and daughter, Cynthia, is General Counsel for a private investment firm. Beth’s most cherished times are spent with grandchildren Brooke, Sarah, Tenley, and Jake, including sharing her love for philanthropy with them. Beth also enjoys traveling, as well as spending time with her Maltipoo, Dandy, who is also active in the community!
