The Women’s Resource Hosts Third Annual Power of the Purse Fundraiser to Support Financial Stability Programs for Houston-Area Women and Girls
HOUSTON, TX (October 18, 2024) – The Women’s Resource of Greater Houston will host its third annual Power of the Purse fundraising gala on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Revaire to support financial stability programs and resources for Houston-area women and girls. The event is expected to have over 300 guests in attendance.
A Night in Paris: An Evening of Elegance and Empowerment
This year’s theme, “A Night in Paris,” will transport guests to the romantic streets of the City of Lights. The evening’s program will feature:
- Live art demonstrations reminiscent of Place du Tertre in Montmartre
- Classic Parisian street performers
- A silent auction of new and gently used designer handbags
- $100 mystery grab bag raffles
- A fashion show led by clients and volunteers of The Women’s Resource
- An exclusive raffle for a Christian Dior Lady Dior handbag, valued at $27,100

Since its inception in 2022, the Power of the Purse has seen remarkable growth, with attendance and contributions increasing significantly from 2022 to 2023. This upward trajectory reflects the community’s growing recognition of the vital work carried out by The Women’s Resource.

Roslyn Bazzelle Mitchell brings over two decades of experience to her role as Event Chair. As the Founder and Managing Attorney of RBM Law Group, she leads a boutique firm providing personalized legal services in corporate, real estate, and intellectual property matters. Driven by her passion for business and creativity, Roslyn is committed to establishing a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable legal landscape.
