YourLife Career Path provides:

Community Health Worker Program
We are excited to partner with the University of Houston’s Community Health Worker Initiative! Upon completion of the program participants walk away with a Texas State Community Health Worker Certification, hands on experience and skills to help secure employment. Entry level jobs typically start at $15-$17/hr.

We provide support on your career journey! Career Coaching is available at our office, at a community location, via Zoom, and over the phone.
Increasing income isn’t easy to do on your own. Career coaching will help you develop the skills you need to find work, or advocate for higher pay. We offer free and confidential career coaching; delivering the tools, resources, accountability and support clients need to earn a livable wage that will allow them the freedom to control their financial future.

Career Coaching is best for women who:
- Want to acquire meaningful work
- Want to advance in their current career
- Are able to work at least 20 hours per week
- Are committed to spending at least 5 hours per week to pursue professional advancement
- Have reliable transportation (bus, car, ride share, etc)
- Have an address, access to a phone, computer and internet.

FAQ
We offer two ways to receive career coaching: in person and/or over the phone. We understand the importance of building relationships, therefore we suggest the first coaching session is in person. It’s always your choice to decide how you want to meet for your coaching sessions. (Due to COVID-19 some coaching appointments are currently taking place over the phone)
We understand that you may not be able to meet during normal business hours. Your coach will work with you to find a time that is mutually convenient for both of you so you can reap the full benefits of our program.
We ask you to plan to meet with your career coach every two weeks for a 45 minute session. If you need additional support between appointments, we are available to provide extra help.
There are no fees associated with our program. All of our time and tools are provided to you free of charge.
Everyone’s career journey is different depending on their goals, the industry, any many additional factors. Generally, it can take anywhere from 3-6 months to find a new job.
